This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how you can access or correct it.

1 What information is collected

Depending on our engagement with you, we may collect:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, postal address

  • Event and booking details — wedding/shoot date, venue, run sheet, names of family members or bridal party, special requests

  • Payment information — billing details and transaction records (we do not store full card details; these are processed by our payment provider)

  • Images and video — photographs and footage taken during your shoot, which may include images of you, your guests, and, in some cases, children

  • Gallery account information — login details and activity on your online gallery (hosted via Pixieset)

  • Communications — emails, messages, and notes from consultations

  • Website usage data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via cookies or analytics tools if you visit our website

3 Why we collect and use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and manage our photography services, including bookings, shoot planning, and delivery of images

4 Photographs of You and others

Photography is central to our service, and the images we capture are personal information under the Privacy Act. By booking with us, you consent to us:

  • Capturing images of you and, where applicable, your guests, family, and bridal party during the shoot

  • Storing and delivering these images via secure online galleries

  • Using select images in our portfolio, website, and social media for promotional purposes — unless you opt out by notifying us in writing and as per the conditions in your contract.

  • Where a shoot involves children, we rely on the consent of the accompanying parent or guardian for the collection and use of the children’s images.

    • In the event of a wedding shoot, consent on collection and use of images is implied unless informed by the booking party in writing prior to the wedding or gallery being used for marketing purposes.

Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
